Water droplets like tiny jewels The weather forecast was for a heavy frost, something that could make for interesting pictures and I thought hard just where I would like to visit to make the most of the conditions. On a previous sunny frosty morning last winter I drove past Grove Ferry and would have loved to have stopped but was on my way somewhere else on that day but had remembered it as a possible place to visit when conditions are right. I thought I would give it a go to see what might be there. It turned into an amazing morning not what I was expecting at all but I have to say even better than I could have asked for. Hawthorn blossom covered in tiny droplets It was very misty to start with and the heavy dew had frozen on the reeds. This in itself was wonderful to see but what was even more amazing to watch was the frost melting before my eyes and little drops of water hanging like jewels on the reeds before they fell off and all evidence of the amazing morning had gone with the warm sun trying hard to break through the heavy mist. It was definitely a case of being in the right place at the right time.
