Returning to Tilberthwaite from Wetherlam. We have just spent a very enjoyable couple of weeks in our favourite part of the country, the Lake District. It was a bit of a family get-together for us too as for the first time for a few years all members of our growing family took a break with us. At times it was very busy, but enjoyable all the same to have us all together.
We managed lots of lovely walks and as we had two members of the party with us who had never been to the Lake District before we also visited a few of the must-see visitor attractions. Being a family holiday there are a lot of people pictures in the album accompanying this journal, but there are also some of the views we enjoyed and the places we visited. In one of the most picturesque parts of the country it is never hard to find something to be taking pictures of, whatever the weather conditions.
On several occasions we also met friends made through the Online Fellwalking Club. Walking with like-minded friends is always a lot of fun and this time was no exception. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who met with us and for making our holiday more special.
Derwent Water on a gorgeous evening Lingcove Bridge As time allows I will put onto the website more photos from our days out. As this will probably take a while though I thought it would be nice to include in this first album pictures from almost all of our days on holiday. As I was sorting my pictures in Lightroom these are the pictures that struck me as being the ones that most give you an idea what we got up to during our stay. There are, of course, many more pictures and these are just a little taster of what is to come in the near future.
