Read more...We were joined by ten friends and four dogs today for a walk on Black fell and Holme Fell. This was our first fell walk of our holiday and the company we enjoyed certainly made it a memorable day for us.

Read more...A walk to the summit of Wetherlam with our Fellwalking friend Andrew Leaney. After reaching the summit we descended to the Coppermines Valley enjoying our lunch beside Levers Water before taking a path back to Tilberthwaite passing many disused quarries on the way.

Read more...A walk starting from Castlerigg Stone circle taking in High Rigg and Low Rigg. After our walk we visited the Watendlath valley before finishing the day eating fish and chips beside Derwent Water enjoying beautiful warm sunshine. A very busy day enjoyed by everyone.

Read more...With a perfect weather forecast we chose to walk in the Eskdale valley enjoying the view towards England’s highest mountains. Our walk continued to the summit of Hard Knott where we could look down on the Roman Fort far below.Its hard not to take lots of pictures on days such as this one.

Read more...A visit to Wasdale Head started by sheltering in the Inn from heavy rain. Once it had stopped we still had time for a quick walk up Middle Fell a fell we have wanted to visit for a long time. The views were everything we expected them to be too.
 
Levens Park with Dave and Edith

Read more...We met with friends Dave and Edith for a walk very enjoyable walk in Levens Park and the surrounding countryside. It was a really wet day everywhere else and we really didn't expect it to stay dry at all but in the end the only rain was a shower near the end of the walk.
 
High Pike via Roughton Gill
